Interview with Coraline
Interviewer :Good morning everyone, we are here with Coraline, she will be talking a Little bit about her recent experience, but first we will be asking her about her life; We´ve been told you are a very curious and adventurous girl, is this true?
Coraline: Yes I am, I love going on adventures, that´s the reason I hate rain, because my parents won´t let me go out and explore, but is for the same reason that I found the little door inside the house.
Interviewer : We know that you entered that door, what did you find in there?
Coraline: It was very weird, because it lead me again to my house, even thou I noticed that some things were different, for example the picture that we had in our hall way was changed, and what surprised me the most was my mother. When I first saw her she was with her back turner, and her skin was pale white, but when she turned around, instead of eyes she had buttons.
Interviewer: Are you the kind of girl that scares easily or not?
Coraline: Actually I’m very brave, and when I saw my other mother and father, I didn’t feel scared. They asked me to stay for dinner, and I did because I was so hungry, and the food looked delicious. That was something different that I noticed too, my real mother is a terrible cooker.
Interviewer: So you stay and had dinner, what did you do after it?
Coraline: Well, we talked for a while, and then I went to my other room, which was different, the wall paint was green and pink, I thought that it was enough and I head straight to the little door, and suddenly I was back at my old house.
Interviewer: You went several times back to the other house, at what time did you realize that something was wrong ?
Coraline: One day I went back, and while we were having dinner my other parents asked me if I wanted to stay. Everything was better in the other house, my room, the food; even my parents pay me more attention. But they also told me that the only condition to stay, was that I needed to sew a pair of buttons replacing my eyes.
Interviewer: Well you are here with of today, tell us how did you manage to escape them?
Coraline: First I didn’t have the help from my real parents because they were trapped in a snow glob, so my other mom and me decided to play a game, if I lose, I would had have to stay with her forever. The game was about exploring and finding things, I had to find the soul of three death kids. I found them but she didn’t kept her promise, I ran into the real world but she followed me into it. In there a black cat helped me by removing the buttons out of her face, and that was her end. After that everything became normal, the other world was destructed, and my parents were free and didn’t remember anything.
Interviewer: That must have been awful; who did you manage to move on?
Coraline: Well I’m still a little bit paranoid about it , sometimes I wake up in the nights thinking that she is watching me always, and when I see a scratch anywhere I fear that I is been made by her with her long nails.
Interviewer: That´s scary, you are very brave. We were told that you are starting a new school year how is it going so far?
Coraline: It is going very well, I’ve made a lot of friends, I enjoy all the classes, and it keeps me away from the house, which still scares me a bit.
Interviewer: Do you think that it was your curiosity what go you into that problem?
Coraline: Yes, but I think that there were several factors, and I think that the most important was my relationship with my parents, the didn’t listened to me and I didn’t listened to them, we weren’t close, so I imagine that´s what made me enjoy the other world , my parents pay more attention to me.
Interviewer: Now that everything is solved, has your relation with your parents gotten any better?
Coraline: Actually it has, I understand them, they are really busy people and I was always buzzing them, but I felt that I needed more attention. Now that we have talked about it, the problems have been solved.
